Hi ladies! I am new hear and wanted to get some insight.
I am 35 yrs old, had a hysterectomy leaving my ovaries almost 5 years ago. I have had female issues since I was 18. PCOS and endometriosis, infertility. I now have three children.
I have been experiencing severe pain in my left side for months along with other symptoms...bloating/fullness, frequent intimation, extreme fatigue, etc.
I saw my OBGYN 3 weeks ago for a transvaginal ultrasound where he saw many large cyst and lecisons/ scar tissue. He said we needed to go ahead and remove that ovary as soon as possible and I have surgery scheduled for tomorrow. I started getting a bit nerves when I saw the orders for my surgery included a pathologist report and blood work for a full CBC work up. I will talk with my doctor before surgery tomorrow, but I stumbled on this amazing group and thought I might be able to ease my thoughts. Thank you all so much!!

It's a blow to find this problem after having a hysterectomy.
Having bloodwork done and pathology on the samples is routine and normal. It's really just in case. It's unlikely to be anything cancerous as Ovarian is relatively rare
It's a good job these tests are done even if it rules things out and just gives us reassurance.
Hoping things go well for you. In the meantime, you'll find this a very supportive and informative community of friends
Hi, you probably already had surgery I wish you the best. Pathology is a Normal check anytime there removing junk. Don't stress a lot of times people are ok. Best wishes for success. Liz
