Looking so well!
Thank you so much
It was great being there and we had such a hood time xx
I meant good. No not part of the Hood. I sound a bit gangsta! !!
Lovely photo hope you had a good time xx
Brilliant thank you. We really enjoyed it xx
Great shot. I hope to get to Berlin soon. Last time I was there was 1991!
Xx Netti
Hi Netti you must go back.Things are changing all the time. We hadn't been for a few years and we noticed so many changes. I adore it there. I studied German at Uni and my daughter is doing her finals in German this year so it was a real treat. Good to see that my chemo brain hadn't taken away my German. A huge relief!
I studied German at Leicester Uni. Small world. Great to hear your daughter has followed in your footsteps! X
I was also a German teacher for 20 years. Coincidences eh?
What a great photo the chocolate 🍫 looks yummy. My first husband was half German and my son lives and works there so I have had a few visits! Enjoy xx
Yes we were at the RITTER SPORT shop. There were so many flavours and vegan and lactose free options. We then visited the café where they served Ritter Sport cakes. Yum. So where have you been in Germany? Xxxx
Lovely photo, next time you must try Leipzig...it's even more beautiful than Berlin (which I do love ❤️ we lived there from 77-80). 😊🌸 xxxx
Also putting in a word for Dresden!
Bremen is also a great city. Lived there for a year as part of my degree as a teaching assistant. Fun times.
I was not far from Bremen on my year abroad. Mine was 1981 to 1982. When were you there?
1984 - 1985. Where were you? I stayed in Vegesack, to the north of Bremen. X
Oh I was in the Lueneburger Heide. I had a friend in Bremen and went to stay with her sometimes. It was lovely there x
Love ❤️ the Lüneburger Heide, such a magical place xxx
Me too - magic campsite there in 2013, while reading Thomas Mann (after a few days in Bremen).
There are several French grads on her too, two of us in the early 70s from the same place and another younger one but I'm not sure if she's on here.
Statistically this all seems a bit improbable, given there aren't many languages grads.
That's incredible. I'm sure it's not a risk factor for oc unless there is something nasty in the ink used in dictionaries !! I did French and German too. Small world!!
Wonderful- have a lovely time!
You and your daughter look so happy. Great photo.
Thank you. We had just had the most amazing hot chocolate x
