Juliette I’m taking cannabis oil but I’ve also started to add in some CBD oil too, but only in the last day or two. I’ve read the two components in conjunction (THC & CBD) work better together. No results/impacts yet though.

CT scan results Tom but truthfully I’m still expecting an increase in all symptoms at this stage....

Thanks Sarah, Aaaw I hope your results are good or better than what you think. I started with the cbd and have been on that for about two months. My son told me about it and we have been looking into the HTC, as like you we have been told it works better together. I have got some with the HTC in it, I got it today. So not tried it yet and have been told to take it at bed time, is that when you take yours? and how do you feel after you have taken it that night and the next day. Julie xxx

Hi juliette 35 ,

Diagnosed 3a in May 16 , I have been on cannabis oil (thc and cbd) since August 17, I found it very hard at first as I have never tried this when I was younger , but reading up on Rick Simpson he suggest starting as small as a half a grain of rice on a piece of bread, swallow with water ...... I have started to increase the dose at night and now taking a smaller dose also during the day, whatever it is doing I get a fantastic nights sleep no waking with the mind rambling at silly hours which is a plus 😊, I informed my GP and also my onc, my GP is quite ok with it, oncologist was more interested on me finishing avastin first hence my late start on the oil ,I have been NED since I finished chemo in October 16 ( hoping it stays that way) ..... Due another scan in Feb.....

Wishing you well , take care

Thanks loren for your reply. I am a bit wary how it will make me feel, fingers crossed I will take it tonight. I start chemo again on Tuesday and I asked the person who we got it off if it would be OK to take it and he said yes. How long would you say it took to wear off. Julie xxx

Julie,

I don’t know if I take too much or if the stuff I’m taking is particularly strong but I wake up late, feeling fairly groggy. Having said that I’m sleeping so well. Very little in the way of chatter and I’m sleeping mostly through the night which is semi unheard of.

I’m also taking a suppository at night, and have started to also take both during the day too.

I bought some CBD oil over the counter so have also included that into my regime. Haven’t told my oncologist. Am praying it’ll show in my results...

Fingers crossed!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hi Sarah, yes I took some last night and had a good sleep. Do you put the Thc under your tongue. I found it a bit hard to do. As it's quite thick and it comes with a syringe. Love Julie xx

Julie, I heat mine to make it more runny/fluid then put a blob or two on a piece of bread that I put under my tongue x

Thanks Sarah will try that. Xx

Just a thought how do I heat it as it's in a syringe. 🙂 xx

Oh, my syringe has a cap on it, I just pop it in a mug or eggcup of hot water for about 40-60 secs till it’s more pliable as otherwise it’s like tar! x

I’m in the U.K. yes. Cannabis oil it’s really a question of asking around and either growing/making your own or finding a suitable source. You can buy the CBD over the counter x

Because you are taking it at night you sleep through the high as such, just be careful not to take too much as the symptoms for me was not very nice , on a good note it helps with sleep and the aches and pains, you should feel quite refreshed on the mornings, Dosage wise only take every 8hrs, you can carry on as normal, small dose In the day and a little bit more at night but remember to start small until you get used to it.... Best of luck Loren x

Hi, I take CBD oil ( the one without THC) which is readily available. I think it helps with done side effects etc. For the full ‘anti-cancer’ oil, you need to be taking the ‘other’ stuff, or even better, in combination. If you need help or advice, there is a great online shop that sells everything. The guy who set it up had a brain tumour years ago, and is a fountain of knowledge. And very helpful. Pm me I you need any more advice.

Thanks nicky, I have started to take both oils. Are you meaning Rick Simpson?

Nicky100 profile image

I take normal CBD oil. You can guy this from shops.

The Rick Simpson Oil is the oil which is not available to buy and contains THC, which is the compound that is removed to make the legal CBD oil.

Hi Juliette, yes I started taking CBD in September after my CT scan showed progression and increase in growth of all tumours. I was told after 1st line chemo (which finished Feb 2016) that it was refractive and platinum resistant - stage 3C. I’ve not had any chemotherapy since then, further complicated by a heart attack in October 2016.

I had another scan a few weeks ago - 29th Dec and was hoping that it would have slowed the growth down. I was shocked that in fact it reported ALL but one of the tumours had SHRUNK. It’s the only treatment I’ve been taking since my last CT scan but I really didn’t expect such a quick response. I’ve obviously still got a way to go and need to watch the one that’s increased in size, but short of being told it had all gone, I couldn’t be happier at this stage. I take CBD with THC but urge others to do their own research too. I don’t tack (hold against gum) I take with food.

The only thing I would add is that YES, like with other medication, you do have the side effects that are reported with THC but so far unlike chemo - I’ve managed to keep all my hair and it hasn’t left me with a dodgy ticker! At 60 I would take the side effects 24/7 if it works and gets rid of this cancer - it also seemed to get rid of a rotten toothache I had!

Thanks januk, that is brilliant it seems like it's been working for you. I take the cbd oil three times a day

How often do you take the Thc. According to Rick Simpson website he says three time a day. Xx

Hi Juliette, apologies if I’ve mis-interpreted what you’re asking but it’s not 2 separate products. It’s CBD with THC left in. There are other suppliers who provide it with no THC but I’d rather stick as closely as I can to Rick Simpson advice. I take it 3 times a day but I no longer work so side-effects aren’t so much of an issue for me. Given what I’m trying to get rid of though....I’m willing to put up with it for as long as it works. Still have to keep pinching myself about latest results at the moment. All the best to you x

How often do you take your oil and how long have you been on it. Hope you don't mind me asking. Xx

Januk2612 in reply toJuliette35

No problem with you asking but I would really recommend direct contact with them to get advice on what to start with and the dose. I take mine straight from syringe now....”grain of rice” size x 3 times a day. However, if I have errands or things to do, I delay taking until after it’s all done due to side-effects. I started taking it about 3 months ago ... desperate due to increase in growth and progression. 😘

Thank you januk, he told me to take it at bedtime to start with and I take it out of the syringe, a grain of rice. He did tell me that it's a Rick Simpson recipe. 🙂 xx I am at hospital waiting to have chemo but I still going to take the oil.

This is a very good website and reliable man.

thehempwellnesscentre.co.uk...

His online shop is there too.

He is very helpful if you call him and have questions. He had a brain tumour 7 years ago which was healed.
