Hi 2mini2, I have started using it mostly for appetite. Has not done much yet but I don't think I have been on it long enough or maybe not taking enough. You have to increased in slow increments every other day. I have a morning dose and a nighttime dose. They are in two different containers and are different formulas. I am taking 0.3mL in the morning and will increase this today. The night time dose (they label it as 1:1drops) is at 2mL. I am not putting much faith in its cancer fighting properties but who knows. If the oil does not increase my appetite in a bit I will go back on nabilone which was helping with appetite. I have also been doing IV vitamin C infusions and will begin iscadore injections next week.

Hi there, can't help on this oil but for appetite I take Metatone is helps a little. I can now eat one meal a day but better than before because I struggled to eat anything solid. I do drink lots of high coco mass chocolate drinks. I buy a very dark chocolate with at least 70% coco mass that has lots of minerals & iron in it. I place half of a big bar of this chocolate in to a big mug then add hot goats milk on top. It's very bitter not sweet but I try & not think about it. It's ment to be high in fibre as well. Its not cheep I pay £2 for one bar but we will try anything if we think it might help. I also have those little drinking yogurts I find it easier to drink than eat solids. I hope this helps take care Cindyxx

It depends what you mean by cannabis oil. Is it hemp, cbd or thc/cbd mix?

Hi Lily-Anne

I don’t actually know!

“Well meaning” friends keep asking me if I have tried it as there is lots in the press about it “curing” cancer.

I’m a scientist so very dismissive of the whole thing as if there was a product that cured cancer out there the medics would be giving it to us. But I’m also a patient who will try anything if it means I get to stay on this earth a bit longer.

Hi there, when I first found out I had oc I looked up every cure out there & tried quite a few. I had been taking cold pressed hemp seed oil but I didn't notice any change & because swallowing tablets is difficult I don't bother.

I have 2 unopened jars if you want them. Also a box of not used Ostocare tablets that are too big for me to swallow. 1 box of Greens with benefits but I almost choked trying to get it down. I am happy to send them free to anyone just privately message me. If I can help another suffer with this horrible oc I will. Cindyxx

Why not ask GP for a prescription for fortisips or something similar. I used them for six months they really do help to build the weight up. x

Hi Keeponkeepingon, I have been on it before after my surgery because I couldn't keep anything down for 2 weeks. My daughter in law phoned my surgery & kind of demanded it. Now my weight is ok they won't give it to me but I do worry if I am getting enough goodness. When I do drink or eat its as full of fat as possible. Thank you for you reply. Cindyxx

It’d need to have thc in it so the illegal part to affect cancer cells. Oil is big news especially since the weed bus with celebrities trying it out. I don’t believe it’s a cure for cancer but I do believe our bodies use some of the elements of thc to boost our immune system and therefore reduce power to the tumour blood supply.

I use it but Im still on the last path of my journey maybe I need to up my doses lol

As far as my prescription is concerned the daytime dose is CBD and the night time is a THC/CBD mix. I am taking both. The clinic I went to never said it would cure cancer. There was a lot of literature provided which I have not read through yet. It seems to address alleviating symptoms rather than using the word "cure" and at no time during my appointment was there any mention of it curing cancer. It does speak to alleviating pain which I do not have so cannot comment on that aspect of its supposed effects. I feel like it is a bit of grasping at straws but desperate people do that don't they.

85live4ever, I too seem to be able to drink more than eat. My appetite never returned after frontline IV/IP treatment which ended in September of 2016. Now that I have had an additional 6 rounds of taxol/carbo for my first reoccurrence I am not expecting much to happen in regard to appetite. I drink Boost which has 360 calories and lots of minerals and vitamins in a small bottle. You get 6 for about $10-$13 (Canadian). I have also started drinking cream which has 400 calories in 1/2 a cup. I take vitamins so hope that is addressing nutrients. When eating I am trying to stick more to a keto regime. The boost has carbs but I reason that the trade off is nutrients and calories for me.

Hi Cindy. I am in Canada. Having gone to their website I now see they have a low carb version. Not sure if you can get it in the UK. It is a a Nestle product and tastes alright. I have the chocolate one but they have vanilla and strawberry too.

I was recommended protein shakes at the hospice to boost my energy but still starve the tumour. It’s blue top milk so the 96% fat free not 98% fat free. With a good quality cocoa powder. I’m using organic green and blacks. With banana. It just tastes like milk shake but it really helps my energy levels. I have 2 a day

Hi Cindy. I too have been having difficulty eating during the day. I am not sure why but my appetite was better in the evening. This has changed for me with the cannabis oil. It took a while to kick in and I was going to give up but beginning yesterday I have gotten some appetite back. It is wonderful to actually want to eat. We take these small things for granted. While shopping for groceries on Friday I just started crying in the store because absolutely nothing appealed to me. It is still not great but so much better. Maybe it would be something worth trying.

Hi Roni, I know that it dose sound like a small thing but to us not having an appetite is massive. I haven't tried this oil yet because I have so many other unopen vitamins & have paid so much money for nothing. The vitamins are tablet form maybe oil will be better for me. I have to say my daughter in law has notice I can go all day without eating anything but hot drinks. Last night at 10pm I only eat because I was still at my families home & my daughter in law has taken me under her wing & does nag me to eat.

I am delighted you are starting to get your appetite back👍👍👍Lets hope this is means there are great things to come being on it.

My sister said it's on offer at our health food store. I have just text her to see if it's still on sale & what it looks like. My sister doesn't have cancer but she has gone on it. I really don't know why but we do have a very high risk of oc & bc in our family. None of my 3 sisters have their ovaries out they are in their early 60's so I do worry about them.

Thank you again I will now be looking in to it take care love Cindyxx

Hi I take CBD oil three times a day , three drops under my tongue . Hold it there for a min. then swallow it . I also have got cannabis with thc in it . I just put a small (very small amount ) on a small piece of bread ,which I put under my tongue ,then swallow it after about ten minutes or more. The last time I had blood done my ca125 had dropped. I take the that in the evening. Hope this helps you. Julie x

CBD oil is said to help pain (but not all CBD oils are created equal; some are much stronger than others; THC oil is said to reduce or kill off cancer - but it's illegal in the UK, and therefore next to impossible to get hold of, and you need to take quite a lot of drops of THC oil daily if you're actually trying to restrain or kill off cancer. That's the theory anyway, in practice, I do know of a couple of people whose cancers have shrunk using cbd/thc treatment - but whether that's the effect of the treatment is hard to say, might just be a strong placebo effect.

I have a meeting at a cannabis oil clinic today to go over something that can help me sleep and get off drugs that I have been on for over 10 years that are not working. My oncologist told me that cannabis oil is not a cure for cancer, but is given for brain cancer patients..💙

miyoshi profile image
miyoshi

I'm in California where it's legal and was recommended to take a 1:4 cbd to thc spray. But I also take the straight cbd oil as a sleep aid. It helps a lot with anxiety and depression.
