Weird skin changes

Has anyone experienced changes to their skin after chemo has finished? I wake up to find my skin has stuck together with another area, my deodorant won't dry and now I have a big underarm rash under both arms. I also have a sort of dimply raised effect on the skin around my face and upper body but other places ate still smooth-can't see it but can feel it -like thousands of goosepimples. GP looked mystified when I mentioned it.

Yes I also had skin changes..particularly that weird raised bumps thing you mention. I found that gps aren't that good with chemo side effects...so I would talk to your CNS. I remember using very pure natural skin care products for a while avoiding chemicals etc and eventually it cleared up. Hope yours does the same xx

Many thanks-I thought it had to be something to do with the chemo.

Hi, my skin changed, I got the bumpy feeling (bit like goose pimples) I used baby shower products, aveeno moisturisers and also E45 and they settled down although it's not as smooth as it used to be, My skin was also very very dry and is still. The red patches and your skin sticking to itself sounds like you need to speak to your team, I suppose the deodorant issues could just be a reaction to the actual deodorant as could the red patches? We can develope reactions to products even after we've used them for a long time under normal conditions, factor in chemo and anything can happen. I'd speak to your team if I was you just to make sure. ❤️Xx Jane

Yes -sounds just like it-I finished carbo/taxyl about 10 weeks ago so it didn't start straight away. Suppose it's not surprising the chemo causes some changes.

I woould suggest you stop using deodorant think I was told to do that at beginning. Also be careful of shower gels which are perfumed. I did get discoloration on my neck with Avastin which disappeared when finished. I just use Simple Baby Wash with Calomile now

Did you go back to using deodorant? Onc said it was all due to chemo causing dry skin although it doesn't seem all that dry.

Not what you're looking for?
