Yes, I have 3 relatively small reddish bruise like marks on my forehead that appeared when I was on niraparib - they got a bit more noticeable during my recent chemo. I also noticed more 'age spot' type marks on my hands and face, some of them really quite black... they haven't gone since coming off it and going on chemo instead, though they;re not as black as they used to be.

Such a delight, isn't it, not🤔

My skin looks blotchy. I especially noticed it on my arms and face. No one mark particularly stands out, it just looks uneven.

Hi there Rosebine2

Thank you for your post. Macmillan list the side effects of niraparib on their website: macmillan.org.uk/cancer-inf... . They explain that niraparib can cause skin changes, as well as bruising and bleeding that can cause tiny red or purple spots on the skin, that may look like a rash. Do you have a clinical nurse specialist you can call, to let them know about the changes you’re experiencing? They or another member of your clinical team will be able to offer personalised guidance and advice.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you would like to talk through anything. You can call our support line on 0800 008 7054, email us via support@ovacome.org.uk. We’re here to support you Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm.

Best wishes

I posted a couple of weeks ago that my skin just seemed blotchy. Now I have a red spot on my face that looks like a pimple, but it’s not, it’s flat. And two or three purple bruise-like marks on my arms that aren’t going away like a bruise would. Just in time for sleeveless summer clothes! :-|

One of the Niraparib's side effects is to reduce the platelets, bruising is one of its signs. It is best if you contacted your team so to help.
