I realise how lovely it is to read about our personal stories. And I'm very aware that all I seem to post is problems/questions! So to change the balance, this is me and my husband, my sister and my partner, just after we'd landed on the Isle of Barra in the Western Isles last month - the only scheduled flight that lands on a beach!
That's me looking totally washed out. Not by cancer - but by travel sickness! It was a very bumpy ride due to high winds, but was definitely one of those trip-of-a-lifetime bucket list experiences.
Wishing everyone all the best for happy times

Wow, Caroline - my husband has promised me this trip! We have only been on the ferry before, but I've seen the planes land and always wanted to do it. I loved the way the baggage just went into a tractor and trailer sort of thing on the beach! Barra is a magical place full of healing beaches and flowers. So glad you got there, even if it was a bumpy ride!
It's only recently that I started to think about a bucket list. Perhaps not totally a good thing. However it's great to dream. Whether I will ever get to Chile and Patagonia is in the lap of the gods however the Canadian Rockies are there too ...x
Looks lovely, I was gonna say yr certainly 'living' with both a husband and a partner until I saw your correction lol, made me chuckle. I certainly dont think you look washed out, its a great photo! Looks a great place to visit. Kathy xx
It looks stunning, lovely photo. What a great change from the usual crowds and nonsense at airports. I hope you soon perked up although you look lovely.
My hubby is busy looking at the western isles after I showed him your post and I'm going to have a look at the Canadian rockies, we were discussing our next trip while sat having lunch overlooking New Jersey across the Hudson River and he mentioned he fancied travelling through Canada so it must be serendipity.
I think it's really nice and important we are able to share some of our better times, we get to see more of the person and a little less of the disease that brought us all here but it is also good we are able to share our problems too. Bit like having an extension to family but with people who really understand.
Hope you felt a little less wobbly very quickly and had a really nice holiday, here's to many more, thank you for sharing this ❤️❤️Xx Jane
Sounds like a great trip! I hope you enjoyed every bit of it (except for the travel sickness!)
