My dearest partner has grade 3 lung cancer and has been for chemo treatment, she feels very tired most of the time(which is a known side effect) but also complains of a tight stomach (but no pain involved),she does not vomit at all and eats only light meals. she has just turned 70 and isn't overweight or anything.
any help or advice on the above would be great.
thanx guys.
Paul.

Sorry to hear that your partner is ill. Chemo has so many side effects it can be hard to decide what's chemo, what the disease, and what's something else. But this is the site for ovarian cancer.so you will find we probably have different chemotherapy. I've been on taxol, carboplatin, cisplatin, caelyx and gemcitabine over 6 years (with remissions), but she may have had something different and you may find more appropriate help on a specialised lung cancer site.
Hope the treatment goes well and it's great that she's got your support.
I'm sorry to hear your partner is feeling so poorly after chemo. It would be advisable to chat to her team to see what they can do to help alleviate her symptoms.
You may find the following forums on HealthUnlocked useful, as they are specific to lung cancer/lung disease, rather than this forum which is for people affected by ovarian cancer.
thanx for your reply, she said she's not in any pain as such just tightness round the stomach.? she eats-n-sleeps ok so to be honest I'm lost with this one ?
now they want her to travel to Halifax qe2 to talk things over, are they crazy or wot ? that's 2hrs each way plus time there?why can't it be "talked over" by phone?
