Quick update from NZ ahead of the final (& deciding) test match for the Lions π¦π.
Two days ago, whilst in the stunning location of Queenstown, I did something I have always, ALWAYS wanted to do. A skydive...from 16,200ft!! It required oxygen whilst in the plane just before the jump, but my word, was it worth it! An experience I'm not sure I can put into words but one I could quite happily do again in a heartbeat.
And not bad almost a year to the day I was in between my two operations!!
My love & thoughts to you all...we head home Wednesday next week after an epic 6 week tour...one I wasn't too sure I'd make 12 months ago but one I wouldn't forget in a lifetime!

HiJemima, a mazing photo you look very excited. I am so happy for you & your husband are having a lovely time. I am sure when you get back you will have plenty to talk about. Thanks for sharing. Take care Cindyxx
Hi Jemima, great photo but I may just sit that one out thanks! Enjoy the remainder of your trip ! xx
Hi Jemima, glad you are having such a great time, do you mind me asking if you had holiday insurance, and if yes, who with, I am thinking of taking my husband to New Zealand for his 70th birthday as he has lots of relatives he hasn't seen for years over there.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Awesome. Well done you, so pleased your trip is one you'll never forget and filled with so many adventures. Enjoy the final fun few days and get back safely to good old Blighty β€οΈXx Jane π½πΊπΈ
Not bad as you say, not bad at all; following your ops a year ago. I'm not envious though (unlike your Antarctica kayaking adventure, which I'd love to do) since I'm just not brave enough. But I'd like to be. Did not your heart just drop a little into your stomach as you set off? Bit like driving over a humpbacked bridge, but more so? Well done you.
Yes it did just that but didn't last long. I've been on theme park rides which were worse in that regard. It was just pure exhilaration & a sense of utter freedom π
That's fantastic Jemima, so brave. I don't think I could jump from a plane. And, what a fantastic tour. I'd love to do that one. Making do with watching the rugby at the moment. Scores tight. Zena xx
What an awesome photo!!!! You are certainly living life to the fullest! What a fabulous vacation!! You have put me at ease knowing that you travelled without coverage for OC. I am going to Australia in a month and was feeling quite nervous about it because my insurance doesn't cover OC. It is so important to follow our dreams when we have this nasty disease. Safe journey home. Kim xx
