I don't have a clue what to write. I'm 42 and I'm a cancer survivor. I just would like to connect with people who've experienced the battle.

Cancer free!!
Hi Robyn! I'm 39 and have been NED for 8 months...long may it continue!
Hi there, I'm also a cancer survivor, been in remission for nearly 7 years now. I don't look at it as having been a battle, just another one of those things getting in the way of my life. Don't get me wrong, life has changed for me in a lot of ways, but heyho I'm still here. Maybe my age got in the way though, I'm now 65. I do find though that the longer I survive, the more apprehensive I am going for checkups. Maybe that's just me, I'm not ready to go yet lol. I hope you keep well and strong. Big hugs Ann x
Hi sweetpea.........I sneaked a look at your profile, that is fantastic! Gives lots of hope this thing can be beaten, enjoy life! xx
Hi Robyn nice to "meet" you! I love reading posts from survivors of this hideous illness. My journey is coming up to a year old, am currently NED, got my first check up a week today and already feeling anxious! May I ask what stage you were? Long may you remain cancer free! xx
Hello. I'm new to this and don't talk a lot about it. I was stage 4 colorectal cancer. I'm coming up on two years in September since my diagnosis.
My husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2008, stage 4. He is currently in his 6th year of remission! x
There's a great charity called Shine Cancer Support which is specifically for people affected by cancer in their 20's, 30's & 40's. Lots of events throughout the UK, really social as well as some useful practical stuff. There's FB pages as well as info here... shinecancersupport.org/abou...
Good to 'meet' you. I hope you make it to the UK sometime.

Hi Robyn,
You've certainly come to the right place for support and encouragement. I am an 18 year survivor (thriver) of Stage 4 Ovarian cancer, diagnosed at the age of 53, now proud and grateful to be 71 (in remission since finishing treatment in 1999).
