Groin pain : Been ned since Feb got myself all... - My Ovacome
Groin pain
Have you had the full hysterectomy op? If so, it might be worth considering that this isn't anything to do with the cancer. In my case, during the op the surgeon sampled some of my lymph nodes, and now 3 years later I've developed a small hernia in my groin. Apparently the bowel wall may have been weakend during the op. I was hugely worried that it was a cancerous lump but actually quite relieved when I discovered the truth. I guess I'm saying, don't panic and don't jump to any conclusions. I'd call your CNS if you're still worried next week. It could be a number of things which can be sorted out. Don't let it spoil your Easter weekend, Friscok12 x
Hi on my recurrence i had bowel and bladder problems for a few weeks and then started to swell with ascites.I did not have any groin pain, hope this reassures you a bit but best to get it checked out after the Easter break for peace of mind. Pam x
Hi Friscok. Symptoms with my recurrence did not include a groin-pain but I'd had some diarroeh (can never spell that) for no apparent reason & my CA125 had risen to 19 (normally around 9). I was convinced it was back. My onc later said that my CA125 had become unreliable, as it really should've been higher than that. I then found a swollen lymph node in my groin - there was no pain.
However, when I was initially diagnosed, my only 2 symptoms were a swollen belly & a groin pain (this was the lymph-node giving me warnings). I was soon diagnosed - 3C with a CA125 of 440. The pain had began as, well, like a tick - you know, a twitch we all get from time to time. We'd bought a treadmill a month prior and I'd been doing a lot of walking and thought I'd pulled something. Thought that if I gave it a couple of days, it would go, but it gradually got worse until walking & bending became a bit difficult. Then came the swollen belly & I knew I had a problem. One thing I don't know is if I'd have been able to feel that swollen lymph-node at that time. I went into shock & was pretty well incapable of thinking anything.
So that was my experience. But of course, we all know that we're all different. Although it was a symptom for me, it just may be a tick or a pull for you. How's your CA125 & scan results? If they're fine, then I expect you are too. Best wishes. Pauline
Hi
I had a lump in my groin that gradually got bigger and was really worried the cancer was back. It was a hernia and I had it sorted along with one in my abdomen. So do get checked out so you know what you are dealing with. Take care . Have a lovely Easter Day

Hello. I haven't but there are lots of other things groin pain can be. But do ring your team when you can and get it checked out. What a nuisance for you to have this over Easter. Good luck.
Hi, I have been having groin pain in the left side.Burning pain, mentioned it to Oncologist. She didn't seem concerned at all. My CT Scan results progression on the right side. So who knows. My cancer is inoperable. If it's worrying you talk to your CNS. Xx
