After treatment how was your cancer moitored mines is every 3 mounths for 2 years then every 6 mounths for 3 years 5 intotal is this normal xx

I think mine is after one year is every six months but will check. After two years is every six months.

Hi. I think this is fairly standard practice, I've done the every three monthly checks am now on the 6 monthly checks, my only difference is I because I took part in a trial I will be checked up for longer than 5 years. ❤xx Jane

Mine is the same. Every months for first 2 years then every 6 months for the next 3 years IF there is no recurrence. If there is then back to the drawing board. After 5 years it is once a year for life, again assuming no recurrence.

I'm a borderline lady, so my follow up currently looks like every 3 months for 2 years...not sure what happens after that, but my Oncologist has told me that even after any discharge, I can come straight back to her at any time, bypassing my GP x

Interestingly I have been monitored every three months & tomorrow will see my first year of 3 monthly app. I was told at my last app.by the Oncologist that if all is shown to be ok at tomorrows app. I will then go to 6monthly apps. Originally I was told that I would be seen 3monthly,for 2 years,then 6monthly for a year,then 2 annual checks,but I will see tomorrow what transpires.

Mine was every 3 months for a year and then my next appointment was a 4 month gap. Will wait and se what happens next.
