First chemo today
Good luck today, hope all goes well. I was petrified the very first time, even burst into tears but the friendly nurse soon gave me a hug and had me laughing. To be honest its all to do with fear of the unknown and wasnt half as bad as I was expecting. Take a book, mags and maybe a snacky treat. If you are lucky they have a lady who comes round and gives hand and foot massages or one of the friendly dogs visit :). The nurses are wonderful and Im sure you will find the other patients up for a chat and a laugh. Do let us know how you get on. Big hugs, Kathy xx
Good luck Hun hope it all goes well for you. The nurses are always there to help if u need them. You will be fine sending hugs
Leianne xx
Hi Jenny.........no need to be frightened, the nurses are amazing, kind and reassuring. The atmosphere is not all doom and gloom in fact I found it uplifting. Watching the drug drip drip was such a positive thing, first step to getting rid of the beast! Good luck on your journey, keep thinking only positive thoughts, you can do this! xx
Don't be frightened, it's normal to be a bit scared but you'll be just fine, most of us here have been there too and are here to tell the tale. you will meet other people having the same treatment as you and make new friends. I took magazines and books the keep me occupied but never got round to reading as was always too busy chatting to all the nurses and other patients round me. Take lots of care and good luck, sending big encouraging hugs and lots of love ❤xx Jane
Good luck with your chemo. You'll soon get used to the routine, everything seems so strange at first.
Good luck I remember feeling the same way but after having one treatment under my belt it was nowhere near as bad as I expected 😊💕
Wishing you all the best xx
