Has anyone been offered avastin in Scotland?

Just wondered if anyone from Scotland has been on avastin?

Hello it was made available in Scotland in 2015 but I think it's only if the cancer recurs they don't offer it as part of frontline treatment.

I have not been offered it however.

I know a couple of Scottish OCers who are on Avastin (started on it this year). No idea what the qualifying rules are though.

I was just wondering cos what's the point of making it available if it's not offered to anyone. It's my mums oncologist at the Beatson in Glasgow who spoke about it being available in an article.

Hi. I've just started on Avastin and I'm in Scotland. It's available for 2nd and 3rd line chemo if you're platinum resistant. Very specific but available. I'm on weekly Taxol and 3 weekly Avastin. This is my 3rd chemo. Rx
