I knew theoretically that my eyelashes would go, but I hadn't realised that it would have practical implications. Anyone got any hints for dealing with sore eyes?

I found sliced cucumber and cold used tea bags quite soothing. And wearing sunglasses if it was at all bright helped.
I also had quite a few bouts of conjunctivitis when I had no eyelashes so it is worth getting them checked the next time you go in.
Good luckx
No hints I'm afraid as I didn't have problems but hope - mine are back 12 weeks after the chemo stopped.
Hi Racheal- So sorry to hear about your eye problems. I am right there with you!! Mine fell out with chemo and have not grown back yet-four weeks out of chemo. My eyes are constantly sore and very dry. Everything get into them-dust, wig hair etc. I use sterile eye drops throughout the day and drink a lot of water. Also at night you can use sterile eye gel that seems to last longer at night.
Best of luck to you!!! Its only temporary!

I had dry sore eyes when on chemo.Horrible feeling. I bought a spray from the chemist. You spray your eye lids. Can't remember what it was called. But oh it was so soothing and helped a lot. Hope you get relief soon. Xx
I lost my eyelashes but it was OK because I wear glasses all the time. Perhaps get some of those glasses that cyclists wear to use when you go out-it will keep the dust out of your eyes?
Use Viscotears eye gel and wear sunglasses to protect you eyes from sun and wind.Avoid smoky and dry atmospheres which is difficult in the winter.good luck.
