Hi Natalie - I had my eyebrows tattoed back on - wish I would of got this done years ago before I had cancer - also you can get really good fake eyelashes and some glam ones for whe you go out

I like you hate the cancer look thats why I had this done - also hooked on wigs at the moment - got to try and get something positive from all whats going on with you xxxxxxxxxx

Hello ive looked into tatooing but im just scared it will look to scouse brow Or like im made up too much, ive done well upto know its just when i c my before pics with lovely long hair i could cry, but yes possitivity is the key , im going to give rapid lash a go, but thankyou i was a beauty therapist before a nurse so ive ordered rapid lash lol probably just another gimmick to fulfill our insecurities ha ha, thanks xxxx

Hi Natalie,

Have you been to the "look good feel better" sessions yet ? They give you such a boost, there was a lady there not a cancer patient but one of the beauty therapists had her eyebrows tattood on because she said she had over plucked them and they didn't grow back but I must say she didn't look as if she had scouse brow (and this was in Liverpool) so my guess is that they have different shapes of tattoos ...I know what you mean about eyebrows and eyelashes after losing them they now come and go ...love x G x :-)

Hi Natalie,

It's nearly 5months since my last chemo and my eyebrows still haven't grown back.

I only have a lot of fine fair hair where my brows should be so I use an eyebrow

pencil and faintly rub it in the hair. I did use to pluck my brows so don't think they

are really going to grow back as before. My eyelashes grew pretty quickly and quite

thick.. sadly they are just starting to come out again...which I have read some of the

ladies have experienced also.

I think we have to try and be positive about all of these new experiences that are

happening to us...and not let it get us down. My poor husband has to listen to me

every day asking him.... do you think my hair has grown a bit today !!!...I know it

hasn't as it is taking such a long time and i'm sooo fed up with my 'action man look'

but he always says to me YES it wont be long before you can go without your wig.

If you have a Lush Shop they have a shampoo in a soap which you rub on hair to

help it grow after chemo. My sister got me one and I have used it for 2wks and have

noticed my hair is getting thicker.Think it has Kelp in it.

Hi Angie,

Linda recommended Kelp.. but I didn't know where to get it from so thanks for that we have a Lush shop.. so I will give it a go... my hair is terrible and my eyebrows and eyelashes come and go :-( ..love x G x :-/ ;-)

Hi Gwyn

My sis also sent me sample pots of Roots hair treatment which you

rub into scalp+hair 20mins before using the shampoo bar. The lady

in Lush kindly sent it for me to try. Only problem with it is it makes

my bit of hair feel rather course so don't use it every time I wash my

hair. I'm sure my hair is getting thicker though.

Will keep you posted.

Hi Natalie

I absolutely swear by the kelp soap from Lush. Doesn't look very glamorous but seems to do the trick. I'm really pleased at how much my hair has grown and how much quicker it is. I also take 1 kelp tablet a day and have very 'lush' eyebrows & lashes.

Downside is I will being having chemo again soon, so I'm making the most of it.

Love Linda xx

Thanks ladies ive come to the conclusion till i come of these tamoxofen tablets i will not get my lovely hair back its still so fine and my hairline is so high that i give frankenstein a run for his money, i tried rapid lash and yes its fab and saw esults within a few days but if you stop using it the hairs seem to drop out , its been about 18 mths since chemo and i think it just stripped me of everything ,

Main thing is im possitive about the fact ive beat cancer so far so good , ive just had almost the last stage of reconstruction to my breast and i feel great in my clothes much bigger than i originally was so im happy about that as for my hair im thinking its going to have to be extensions:))) x

Hi, I used coconut oil on my hair, I massaged it in and left it for 10-15 mins then rinsed off with my regular shampoo, it was in solid form in a jar. On my eyelashes I used 'revitalash' it helped a bit, but I think they are still fine. I'm 8 months post chemo xx
