My numbers have done exactly the same in trying not to worry and putting it down to possible test anomaly ... I've had my scan get results Friday so fingers crossed for us both 😍

Hello, hoping that it's nothing for you...2 points is very small. Good luck with your scan.

It's so natural to wonder and worry however it's important to (try !) remember that a small rise can be attributed to so many other factors. Your oncologist will have noted the rise. the method post chemo/treatment is to monitor the trend over at least three tests. If you are on 3 monthly tests and your next results have gone up again with no obvious reason (cold, infection etc) then get a test 1 month later to put your mind at rest.

Take care

Clare xx

Hello Clare yeah I think so too. I have a cold for a few days now and that may be the cause . But I'm happy with that number and fingers crossed for the scan now .. thank you for the reply xoxo

Hi Suela. DO NOT WORRY. Mine also has just done exactly the same - and then went down to 9. We all know exactly what you're feeling. Have your scans - they'll put your mind at rest. Best wishes. Pauline

Thank you Pauline I'm fine with that number as we all know it can be worst . Wish I could have done the scan yesterday as well so I don't have to wait for a few weeks for it but I'm holding on good . Xoxo

Had my 3-month check-up yesterday and had gone down from 14 to 13 (having gone from 13 to 14 at the previous check-up). Go figure! Still a long, long way from 35 (edge of normal). My onc thinks only an upward trend is important, so please don't worry (easy to say, I know!). Deb x

Thank you Deb , I think is probably the cold I been feeling sick for a few days now . But I was little worried yesterday after I spoke with the doctor he was not concerned at all . Xoxo

Most of them aren't! I don't think they understand how twitched we get when check-up time comes around. Some hospitals won't even tell you your CA125 number in case you worry. I think that would worry me more. xx

Under 35 is normal. Also the CA125 test is affected by many factors and often reads higher. But yours is fine!

Jmackmom Thank you . Omg Its crazy what we go through and I try to tell myself not to worry and it can be worst .. xoxo

I agree with the ladies any thing under 35 is deemed normal but it is also normal to be worried why we get the various tests and scans, It is not a huge jump and if your onc is not unduly worried then there is no great reason for you to do so either, I realise we never stop worrying and saying what if.
