My brave beautiful Vivien sadly passed way yesterday morning having lost her battle with this dreaded decease.
I looked after her for the past 6 months and kept her at home until the final 4 days before she had to go into the hospice.
She was an amazing women who i am going miss so much.
The picture is me and Vivien on Lake Garda last June 10 days before she 1st went to see the Doctor.
She's at peace now,sleep well sweetheart.

I am so sorry that Vivien lost her battle yesterday. Words seem so trite at times like this but I know you will receive warm thoughts from fellow members here which I do hope provide some comfort for you and your family.
Along with this photo you will have many happy memories to recount over the coming days and weeks of places you visited together. Do stay in touch here if that is what helps you, at those times when you can't sleep and family and friends are not about to share your thoughts with.
I do hope you can, in time, draw some strength from the fact you cared for Vivien at home, making those last week's comfortable for her.
Take care Craig and do look after yourself, please don't be afraid to ask for support you too have been through a tough 6 months or so.

All I can say is that I'm thinking of you and of Vivien - your photo shows a loving, happy couple and your happiness shines through. I can understand how you feel having lost my husband in January, just take it one day at a time and remember the good times.

Everyone has said it all,but you were with Viviene throughout and such a support to her, it is a lovely photo and it's difficult at the moment but you will look back over the memories with fondness and it will get you through.
I do hope you have good friends and a supportive family as you will need them and as others have said we always here for a chat as no one quite knows what you are going through as people that are going through it too.

Sorry to hear of your loss, my wife (Christina) died from OC nearly 3 years ago after having it for the best part of 3 years.
I wish I could offer words of wisdom, but all I can really say is I hope that you, like me, find comfort in memories and the fact that she is at rest and free from suffering, and that you get support from family and friends.
It doesn't necessarily get easier, but you will cope with it easier as time goes by, the next week or so will not be easy but you will get through it, we all owe it to our wifes and families to keep going and remember the good times and celebrate their lives.
