I've got pins and needles in my feet and fingers too. Typing isn't easy and opening bottles and my new make-up pots is quite difficult. I didn't know the chemo would be postponed because of it though. I'm due No 4 next Wednesday.

Me too Helen but only in my right hand!!! I had to go and see the doctor today as I think they were concerned it might have been a clot as it was only in one hand. She said as its another week until chemo it can improve but discuss it on chemo day as they might reduce the dose.

B vitamins are supposed to help especially B12. I've started taking a mixed B vitamin supplement hoping it will help it.

Hey Michelle!

Will you describe the sensation as I have a very little amount but it tends to be in my left hand only! I can barely feel it and it's not all the time! It is not stopping me from doing anything either??? Should I be worried??

Apparently peripheral neuropathy (to give it its proper name) is a really common side effect of the chemo were on. The chemo effects the nerve endings, it's normally temporary but can be permanent that's why they watch it closely.

How I describe mine is if you've been out in the freezing cold without gloves and you go into a warm room and your fingers become all numb and tingly. Mines is not painful but irritating and it's only just the tip of the finger with me. I did try and sew my daughters brownie badges on but had to give up as I found it too difficult.

I think mines gotten better as the days have went on but I not sure it's that or I've become accustomed to it. Time will tell.

You described it exactly the way I experience it too! I wasn't sure if it was that or the fact that it is actually cold here in Ireland at the min and I don't generally wear gloves! I have only mentioned it to nurses but if it gets worse will talk further about it! My sis experienced it pretty bad during her treatment especially in her legs! She has young kids and she used to call it fizzy legs to describe it to them! 😁😁

Thanks a mill!!!

Looking good and I love your hat. Where did you get it from. I've been looking and I keep finding hats that my granny would wear 😱.

Hey Michelle!

Thanks a million! I actually had a lovely.day today! Was talking to a few lovely.ladies today! One was just starting her treatment for Pancreatic cancer, one was a veteran for Breast Cancer and I met EilyEire who is one of the lovely ladies on this board!!!

I was the same about thw hats!! So what I do now is get plain hats and use short scarves to liven them up! I find the simplicity range from hairloss.ie fit the bill and they have a series of short bright coloured scarves too! It's an Irish website based in Cork but I think they deliver to other places too! Have a look!

I do sometime wish I was back in Scotland just for the company of other patients. Don't get me wrong there are patients here but most are old and chat in Norweigan, which I haven't got a clue about. Also we are in small rooms with 3 people, I'm the one that's in all day and the other 2 spaces are used throughout the day with people popping in for an hour or so. I brought a chum the last time and we chatted the whole time. It was great much better than my husband, but shush don't tell him πŸ˜‰.

One great thing about here is that I have had the same nurse so far and she's lovely.

Interesting how the different countries do it all slightly differently.

I'll check out that website. Thanks x
