Hi Evelyn I know that things take a long time to get back to normal especially bowels , that's probably your wind issues 😄, ever since I was diagnosed I've been windy ! Being apprehensive before a scan is totally normal too ,I'm thinking positive for you and hope your NED forever . Best wishes Jue .

Hi Evelyn

Well done on finishing your chemo. I agree that this cancer lark is always throwing up the next test or scan that we focus our worry on. I would like a holiday from this constant nagging 'what if' feeling but I am trying to take one day at a time. Hope all goes well when you have yours xxxx

Hope all goes well for you, I get nervous before scans to. Take care and wishing you all the best xx

I always get nervous about scans and results, its part of the course. So you are not being unusual. Try to focus on other stuff beside the upcoming scan. Give yourself a treat, it can be as small or as big as you want it but it takes the sting out of the medical stuff.

Are you I. The UK? I didn't know there were PET scans here. I hope you can find plenty to distract you while you wait for the scan and the results. I'm getting increasingly nervous while I'm in the waiting room these days.

Hi Evelyn,

I finished chemo nearly a year ago and am still windy, but have just had a check up and all is ok.

I think every examination, scan or blood test is always a worry,it is part of what we all go through and it doesn't matter in what part of the journey we are on.

I totally agree with Lyndy, take one day at a time and I'm with Suzuki, I always plan my week before any scan or exam. To keep myself busy and do things I enjoy doing, as simple as a walk in the sun, or a silly day with my 2 year old Grandson.

I wish you well at your scan, try to relax and go with the flow, what will be will be,but mention the wind to your onc, It might be down to diet or meds,

Best wishes,

Carole xx

Hi Evelyn. I've had a PET scan. You'll be fine. You've coped with chemo - this will be a breeze. Best wishes - Pauline

Hi, I remember feeling very anxious once my treatment ended and I was not running up to Hospital every 3 weeks. I think it is natural. You have time now to process what you have been through. My sister in law who is a nurse told me that the bowel does not like being interfered with and if you had surgery then it would have been touched and moved about. I believe it can take some months to settle down again. Not forgetting all the drugs that have been pumped into you over the last number of months, its probably little wonder you have gas. Hope it all settles down soon. Good luck. Ann x
