options for chemo pill

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any input with rectol cancer, my friend had surgery was stage 2 and 29 lymph nodes were good, surgeon says she does not need chemo and oncologist suggest chemo pills which will give her 2 to 3% more chance of it not coming back.She is 65 and not sure if it is worth taking pills when she may not need them.
