Omentum cancer
I've never heard of it but Ovarian/peritoneal can spread there. Welcome here .. Xxxx
Mine was mainly in the omentum but on operating was in Fallopian tubes, ovaries and peritineum, classing as pplc
Ppc even!
Hi there. Mine presented only in Omentum. They had no idea why. After bloods done the markers showed it may have origionated from ovarys. But nothing found there. Just seeded through the omentum.
Was started on Carboplatin, as they were only going to treat me to see if they could help. As they had told me it was terminal and i had about 6 months.
That was 5 years ago. The carboplatin worked so well, that they cant find it. All good, but still have to suffer the terminal tag.
Mine appeared out of no where. I only had symptoms for the 2 months before i presented at a&e.
So the bloods where what told them its markers were ovarian.
Hi. I have ovarian cancer stage 3c which started with pains in my flanks n urgency to use the bathroom several times daily. I thought I had a kidney infection. Also noticed that I never seemed to get much energy from exercise, eating or supplements. Always baffled me. Had sugar cravings as well. I was taken into hospital as an emergency as I had bloated up so much I looked nine months pregnant, had mobility n breathing difficulties. The cancer had started in the Fallopian tube, (which they now believe is where all ovarian cancer starts), and then seeded to the omentum. Had 4sessions of chemo followed by debulking, total hysterectomy n omentum removal, then 2 more chemo sessions. My CA125 is now around 12. Am on 3weekly sessions of Avastin for the next year. Feeling more normal now than I have in a long time, even started to swim again, allbeit once weekly. Pay for it afterwards, but it's so worth it. Hope all this information helps you n others out there.
Well I found reading all the replies really interesting. Because they couldn't find the origin of my tumours, they eventually decided it was PPC. I had a large tumour wrapped round my gall bladder and another on the Omentum. Two separate operations to remove them and ovaries and Fallopian tubes, (uterus went in 1991!) then sweeping up chemo. Two years on and fingers and legs crossed for many more. x
