Hi Totty, really strange I was going to ask the same question on here today! Bless you, you've obviously been through the mill. Please be kind to yourself, there's a good book which may help you (The Cancer Survivor's Companion: Practical ways to cope with your feelings after cancer by Dr Frances Goodhart & Lucy Atkins). I finished my treatment July 2013 but the fatigue actually started about 2 years before I was diagnosed. DId you find this too? x

Hello Totty really pleased you are in remission. I originally had a border line tumour removed and hysterectomy etc in November 2010 and that is when the extreme tiredness began. By 2012 I was diagnosed with depression. I believe bought on by not knowing the cause of the of the extreme fatigue and not being able to resolve it. In April this year had reoccurrence in lungs. Spent the summer having chemotherapy. The tiredness is still there and now I just go with it and tailor my life around it and take plenty of rests.in fact just like my 79 year mother does. (Lol). Personally I believe it is connected to the cancer. Hope everyone has a good Christmas.

The oncologist seems to accept the tiredness but never gives an answer only slow down, how do you slow down from nothing sometimes. Honestly I don't think that they know why, they don't tell you about it as a side effect, though I found out about some of them the hard way too. I do hope you stay in the clear this time , thst is my one dread of having to do it all again, I lost a year of my life as I can hardly remember anything from 2012. It's 3 years since my operation on January 5th. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year .totty

Yes, they put it down to the pain I was experiencing with my knees, I tried to tell them and still am that it's a different feeling of tiredness, more like sudden exhaustion and it takes days to recover. Problem is probably me as I try and tailor my days but it doesnt always go to plan lol. I hope to find the book you recommend. Don't do to much over Christmas ( says me ) I'm going to one of my daughters. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, keep well.
