What does the term "mass" refer too ?

had a mass removed from my cervix when sterilized over 10+ years ago, had to go back a few months later for it to be re-done. At the time I didn't ask for details. Two years ago had polyps removed from bowel, (bowel cancer in family), I think I maybe starting the menopause too, heavier periods and other symptoms, but getting a constant ache in my low pelvic area, like when on your period. Anyone tell me about the term "mass " and can bowel and cervical growths be related. At the doctors on Friday about the pain and want to make sure I ask the questions and tell her the right things xxx
