Since I have gotten diagnosed with an ovarian cyst I've had extremely bad cramps and a heavy flow period. I ALWAYS had light periods and NO cramps before this. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Hi there .. and welcome. I don't think you've said now or in the past what type of cyst you have. Most women get cysts which are part of ovulation and can make you sore and stay for several months before going away. You're very young to have this disease so I wouldn't get anxious on that score. However, you have had changes in your periods so I think you should see your doctor, not because you may have Ovarian, but because you may need some help in relieving your monthly symptoms. In any case, a visit to your doctor would do no harm, would it? Take good care .. Tina x x

I can't add anything to what Tina has said already, just go to your GP .

Best wishes love x G x

If you have any worries about it being Ovarian Cancer, go to ovacome.org and follow the instructions on the BEAT symptom tracker. You can take a questionnaire and record any symptoms on there, then print it out to take to your GP or gynaecologist.

Good luck

Love Wendy xx
