4th carbo last Friday. 2 more to go it has been rough but thankfully done 1st week in December...Roll On!! 5 years down the line and 5 years older it has taken its toll but keeping myself occupied and eating healthy. I feel superexhausted but relaxing through it. Third round but thankfully no surgery this time.

Hello bquinnx - keep resting, keep breathing! It's a tough, strange, and difficult journey. (I've just had second round of the exact same chemo I had back in 2012, and it was much harder!) Used to lie there sensing my whole cellular structure dissolving. Nothing for it but to 'be', and wait patiently for the treatment to end, but waiting as we all know is the hardest thing ever. And whatever it takes to make you laugh is essential! I've said it before on this forum, and here it is again - try to get access to DVDs (or whatever other format) of films, sitcoms, etc that really make you laugh out loud - that shaking of the whole body in a big belly laugh I believe to be just so therapeutic! Keep communicating with us all as well - those of us who have 'been there' or are currently 'in there' know the language well. Blessings, Marie

Thanks Marie x Its my third full round in 5yrs. Caelex last year it was physically rough but my first infusions 5yrs ago were carboplatin and taxol..I was unwell but worse on the carbo this time!! I am 5 years older too so am very aware of resting visualising and mindfulness plus the rest!! 2 more to go so not bad eh? 😀

Hi B, I was locked out and my replies kept disappearing but I am back now to torment everyone haha. Imagine you are two thirds of way through. I know its hard and the side effects but hopefully this will be over in another 6 weeks or thereabouts and you will get the other drug for maintenance. Listen to your body and rest when you need to.
