I have been on low dose HRT now for about 2 years and my DEXAs show substantial improvement in the two DEXAs since then (e.g.-my spine went from -3.1 to -2.6). But my TBS continues to decline showing as degraded and seems to be getting worse. Can anyone explain this?

sounds like a question for your osteoporosis doctor - I have an endocrinologist who specializes in osteoporosis. Maybe you can ask your doctor if denser bones from HRT affects tbs or ask why tbs has changed or what caused the tbs to change.
My understanding is tbs checks if there was a fracture. Did you have a fracture of any kind?
Hi, If you don't mind telling, at what age did you start taking HRT? Did you start taking it right after menopause or had a gap before you started taking. I never had any HRT and now when I have osteoporosis, I was told that I had a ten plus years after menopause so I can't take it. Thanks.
I believe TBS gives a better idea of bone strength, so it's possible that, despite your bone density improving, your bone strength has got worse. Are you exercising to help your bone strength? Resistance training is supposed to be the most effective.
Maybe your osteoporosis is not estrogen related. Have your Doctor check on the other possible causes of your osteoporosis. I should say that I was on HRT for 6 years. It helped my bones but caused DCIS of the breast.
