diet for osteoporosis
The only advice that I've been given is to eat foods high is calcium. That didn't work for me though so I ended up on medication.
Ddserj , the easy piece of advise I can give you is to avoid acidic foods (like bottled drinks, etc.) that makes your body leach calcium from bones.
The research I have done on the internet says eating high protein diet from animal sources.. Meats, fish, eggs, dairy etc... along those lines because they have the amino acids you need, also a Mediterranean diet as a whole, is supposed to be good for your over all health.
You are supposed to build up to the amount you need if you are eating lower protein because your body has to adjust and won't be able to absorb it all if it is not use to doing so. It is similar to trying to put on muscle, need to eat higher protein to do it.
If you have other health issues that may be effected by a high protein diet, you have to take those into consideration, you don't want to cause more health problems.
I can't tell you if it will work for you, there are likely other factors that play a role but I have been watching Dr. Doug Lucas videos on Youtube, he has a lot of info based on studies that have been done.
