Hello, I am newly diagnosed and will be going for a consult with a rheumatoid arthritis doctor. I will listen to what she has to say but at this point I am going to decline medication.Im 65 years old, I excercise daily. Never had a fracture and on the service appear fitter than most 40 year olds. I immediatly went to a holistic pharmecy upon dxs and got supplements. One is a blend with Calcium and Vitamen D, plus other minerals, the other is Vitamen K2. Ive also started taking collagen. I want to go in to my consult armed with information.
I need help interpreting my numbers.
Lumbar Spine -2.4
Left Hip - 1.4
I do not see a number for my left femur but the note says there is standard deviation from normal of 2.5, indicating osteoporosis.
So conclusion is osteoporosis in left femoral neck and osteopenia in lumbar spine.
Are these bad numbers? What else can I do?
Thank you.
