Morning uneasiness and mild nausea

I have been diagnosed with GERD and possibly post infection IBS. In the mornings, after getting up, I feel uneasy and have mild nausea. Has anyone else experienced this and what are the remedies so I don't wake up feeling this?

Thank you

hi, I have this. I suppose it gets better once I’m moving round / have brushed my teeth. But it’s most mornings. Are you the same?

Yes ...I get mild nausea in the morning and as I move and get ready for the day, it subsides. I use peppermint life savers too....they help. Do you have an ibs diagnosis or GERD? I also have a small hiatal hernia......

Do you any tricks for getting rid of the uneasiness and mild nausea?

Doctor says acid reflux and gastritis. That’s as far as I’ve got I haven’t had any tests. What are you taking ? I’m having Omeprazole AM, FAMOTIDINE PM

I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy....CT scan also. All normal.....did find a hiatal hernia... small. So after having left side under rib pain, gastro doctor believes I have post infection IBS and GERD. I am prescribed Omeprazole 20mg once a day for 90 days.....and I watch the greasy and fried foods. It seems to be a long process to get back to normalcy......

I would agree. Tablets seem to not be the magic pill I was hoping for

I know.. have a good day. I'm always here if you want to talk. It's nice to have people who understand. And stress does not help.....reach out when you need to.😀

Peppermint is supposed to be unhelpful for Acid Reflux as along with chocolate it relaxes the spincter at the top of the stomach and allows acid to creep back up.I have a large hiatal hernia, and silent reflux. Do you take any Gaviscon for acid reflux. Taken last thing at night, it can be helpful, and I suppose could help stop the nausea. Do you find eating helps? I can feel nauseous when I need to eat.

I am currently taking a 90 day prescription of Omeprazole per my gastro doctor for pain under left ribs. It has worked...... that is a good idea for the mild nausea in the morning. For me, eating does help.......and staying hydrated is very important. Otherwise, I can feel fatigued and lightheaded.....It's a one day at a time process....and yes, can be very frustrating. I also keep a food journal to identify any triggers....it helps. Have a good night my friend!

I have had pain for 5 weeks niggling under right rib incredible indigestion burping and passing wind..tummy is just sore not painful if you understand..I had this last year and they couldn't find anything wrong with me and it eventually went so I never went to see the digestive specialist..stupid i know..however 2 weeks ago i had severe acid reflux in the night and vomited blood. and I didn't go to the docs as it's calmed down anyway I went and He has put me on omeparazole again and it seems to be helping 2 60mg a day ..what i haven't told you is that I took NSAIDS EVERY DAY FOR 5 YEARS NO PROTECTION so I am a fool..I am now on very bland food..oats almond milk and blueberries are fabulous so it pretzels as they calm down the acid .mgreen steamed veg fish and probiotics yogurts manuka honey I have good and bad days..poo sample next week to check for bacteria but poo is a normal brown colour so I am hoping it will start Getting better soon..nausea in night has now stopped and that was a killer but anxiety too is a killer . I think I have been a very silly girl and this is a long process....any advice would be grateful 😁
