why is my mouth dry at night , i get a coated tongue.I use nasal spray to clean out sinus .
It is unbearable at night i feel like i am getting no help at all and dont know what to do.
I sm going to try dehydration sachets today ,
I have a tortuous colon with redundant loops and lower bowel poblems.. I had helicobater a couple of mouths ago and need to retest this. I get digestive i/ acid reflux especially about 8pm in the evening as food has trouble digestion.
I also am going to test for SIBO but cannot do the test until i have been off laxatives a certain time which is virtually impossible as do not want to get blocked in colon .
Please help if you read this as feeling desperate.

I have acid reflux quite badly, I also have a dry mouth, dark coating on tongue and a nasty taste in mouth. I think it's the acid and/or medication I'm taking that causes it.
Hi had the same symptoms Acid dry mouth especially at night and coated tongue and a metallic taste it's,a lot better since I've been on 20mg of omeprazole
Hi, if possible try to have your main meal at lunchtime or earlier in the evening, this may aid your digestion. I have similar problems and don't eat anything after 6.30 p.m., just sips of water or a few boiled sweets if my mouth is dry. Also, have your bedroom window open an inch or so overnight as dry air can also cause dry mouth and throat.
I went through the same thing, sinus issues and dry mouth. It's pepsin that's coming up. Here's a few things I did and it works.
I did this about 5 times a day, You take white vinegar and put it in a a glass and sniff it sounds crazy but the study I read it worked and it really did. Next you take white vinegar and dilute it in water and gargle with it especially before bed. You will notice a difference by the 3rd day.
Then get a product called allday mouth spray to keep your mouth moist through the night.
Grapefruit seed extract is really good for your sinuses look it up, that helps a lot.
I may not be much help. I have a dry mouth every night. I thought it was caused by amitryptiline which I take for neuropathy in my feet, also have a hiatus hernia, and acid reflux, which I take a PPI and Gaviscon for.I think I have just decided I have to live with it now.
