waking up feeling terrible

Hello- as of the last few days, when I wake up I have tons and tons of gas and stomach pain until I take my omeprazole. I’m also very nauseous in the am too. Gastro just started me on 20 mg at night and in the am. Does this sound like acid reflux or something else? For example, I woke up at 530/6 am today with tons of gas and stomach pain. Took my omeprazole at 7 ish and now it’s way better. I have endo and colon on April 4. Thanks!

Sounds like my life since christmas onwards. Its driving me nuts. Pleased you have tests in the pipeline. Will be seeing my GP next Friday to request the same investigations. I cant take PPIs so currently have to manage on gaviscon advance. Hope medics get to the bottom of it for you so you can get back on track. I am known to have GERD.

Thanks so much. I hope you get better soon too. They moved my tests up to 3/3! I’m sorry you can’t take PPIs. I hope they find out what’s going on. Please keep me posted and I’ll keep you in my thoughts.

Thank you very much. Thats better getting tests done sooner. Less time to be anxious. Please let us know the outcome. Wishing you the very best.

Sounds very like it to me. I'm nauseous in the morning but it usually clears after a drink and light breakfast and lansoprazol

this is day 3 of me taking a dose in the am and a dose in the pm and I felt ok this morning. Hoping it continues that way.

Sorry you are experiencing the nausea,I think with gastric problems (reflux etc) it will cause this especially in the mornings as you are lying down for some hours during the night,do you prop up your pillows or bed at the top end to help with this? Depending on what you ate the day before this can cause the nausea (fatty foods etc) plus eating too soon before bed don't help. It affects me more with excess mucus throat problems rather than nausea but it is all connected ,I find a glass of water in the morning helps

thanks for the comment! I use two pillows yes and I agree. I had some fatty meals recently and I’m no longer going to have beef after this experience. I started the omeprazole at night now too and it’s helping. I do keep water on my nightstand too.
