Left side pain

Hi I have a hiatus hernia which does play up now and again. But I have had a pain down my left hand side on/off for a few days. It tends to come and go. I have also now got a bad cough and cold but don't think this is related?

Hi...I have that hiatus hernia..I also get pain down left side and shoulder blades too. Its not all the time but when I get it I can't help thinking I'm gonna drop at anytime and this creates anxiety...I do a lot of throat clearing along with this as well...I take over the counter medication.nexium etc and don't eat much for the next couple of days .I am my own worst enemy tho and tend to have a couple of drinks at weekends knowing its gonna cause me problems...most of the time I tend to manage it as its about 5 years since I had that dreaded camera down my throat...

Yes touchwood has been better last few days. I think it sounds ridiculous but baked beans I think set it off. Also because I had the odd alcoholic drink over Xmas I suffer for days after with chest pains that come and go. Going to definitely leave off beans and hopefully that's the answer.

Well good luck with that sue.. they do say that lifestyle changes are the key to this...let me know if you feel any better when you've kicked the baked beans into touch...
