Hello,

Your's is a very complex health history and this is compounded by age and co-morbidities.

Please visit opa.org.uk for detailed information on diet and how to manage acid reflux.

Peaceful mental health and less intake of multiple medications could be of great help.

First sleep elevated, second alkaline water and chew food slowly, then try to walk gently Little every day, deep breathing exercise.. AND ginger tea before/ with meals or when needed . Absolutely no tea coffee or coke, no fatty or large meals, plain food and boiled food only no spice onions or garlic.. this is what helped me.. I also ate a piece of crystallized ginger when I needed immediate help.. I am not cured it has been 4 months and still looking for an answer.. there are other things people found helpful such as exercise/ diaphragm release .. muscle relaxant such as magnesium or prescription ones.. good luck

Thanjyou. I think meds I'm on irritate too. Now I have a tight band all around chest after eating so uncomfortable worse lying down for med. Used to go in night but now tight waking. Worse if I do eat a bit of fat try not to but now like sooo tight even with porridge.

Yes now I've broken my hip. Big op. So cant walk exercise. The burning is worse. I have to try ready meals but they are so full of crap.

Yes my medications the benzo reduction seems to have made worse. I can feel food going down my back. Taste for ages.

I have read that reducing any medication can increase acid production. I'll go to OPA. I'm waiting so long for Bravo and manometary. So I'm in awful pain no matter what pain on walking and big issues trying to reduced bad meds

I know my insides arent right. Lots of gas and splattering to side toilet .

Thankyou

I am also having that burning pain radiating to my right shoulder. No gallbladder . I am taking protonix x2 30 min before eating breakfast and dinner . Also taking Carafate before lunch and bedtime. Gaviscon in between and some times papaya enzymes this seems to help .Do you wait an hour before you eat ? Some PPI require to take them 1 hour before eating. Try not to drink coffee , citrus ,spicy foods and fried foods. Stomach issues take along time to heal . I hope you start to feel better soon.
