Famotodine .. excess phlegm and ear pressure

Hi

I have been on lansoparazole for 5 1/2 years due to a lung condition but also noticed it helped my LPR. Anyway my IBS has got progressively worse so decided to try and come off lansoparazole! Well as many of you will know I expect…. Not easy!!!!!

Anyway well a taking gaviscon advance I’ve been taking famotodine 20 mg once a day for a week.

I’ve still got the throat clearing but what I am especially concerned about is the phlegm sort of behind my nose … if that makes sense … a pressure in my eustacian tubes and almost ear pains/ sensations… but I may be focusing on this! As I have had a type of menieres disease in the past and a partially dysfunctional eustacian tube in 1 ear, I get panicky about this!

So I’d love to hear if anyone else has experienced excess phlegm, ear pressures from famotodine!!

Hi winter2013 the only thing I find Gavicon advanced makes me cough and phlegm and IBS if you take too much . Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks so much …. that is helpful. Maybe it’s the gaviscon advance not famotodine as I have been having a lot!! Xx

Hi winter2013 I was having alot of Gavicon and it caused me constipation as well just have one spoon full at night and raised my pillow to help with reflux which helps.
