May help, but it may all depend upon the root cause.

For lesser grade lax LES it may be of help trying the electrode use electrical stimulation of the muscles and tissue. Read somewhere it has helped some people.

Personally I doubt of any use in case of any grade of HH. but lax muscles' response may be stimulated! Again if and but without evidence per say.

Thanks so much for your reply. Much appreciated. I have a HH and two autoimmune conditions, so probably not going to help much. Just keep hoping I’ll find something I can actively try, other than pills and lifestyle changes etc which I’ve already done. Thanks again.

I am only a Non-qualified Speculator so dont take my words for definite, rather take those with a bucket of salt. :)

If your HH is of lesser grade then LINX band may be of great use to you and these days on NHS in many health boards. But significant grade of HH is difficult with LINX and tends to favour towards NF in GI domain, on a simple non-complex case history.

To be honest its worth trying at least a couple of times to see if it helps, often than not, its non chemical unbalancing such as medicines in your blood stream, so worth a try and see if it helps bring little more peace of mind. IN worst case it may be just money spent, but if some success then can buy you some more time on management side.

To be blunt the HH is an anatomical (mechanical) root cause, and not going to be fixed by symptoms management articles. Discounting other underlying history.

The PPI, H2 blocker, lifestyle management etc are all symptom management articles; on its own or combination thereof. None can fix the HH.

Thanks so much for the LINX suggestion, I’ve read about that and it sounds hopeful. My HH is relatively small so might work for that, but my autoimmune conditions also weaken the oesophageal muscles and the junction. But I’m due to see the consultant in January, so I’ll maybe discuss surgery then. Would really like to give up the pills. Thanks again for your suggestions. So kind of you.
