Constant reflux

Hi all. I had a gall stone removed from my bile duct back in 2003 then my gall bladder removed a year later. I got reflux on and off but for the past 6 years I get it randomly and I have no idea what is causing it. All I can think of is that when the gall stone was removed the surgeon made a small cut in my LES and I know that because there is nowhere for the liver to store bile, it can just pump it out recklessly and my LES doesn't cope with that. My doctor has prescribed lansoprazole but I'm reluctant to take it. Any thoughts and knowledge welcome x

I would take the Lansoprazole as the acid could reflux into your lungs and damage them. I have silent reflux and bronchiectasis. My consultant advised me to take Omaprazole to stop the acid damaging my lungs. I only take 10mg which is the lowest dose.
