Hi everyone, im breastfeeding my 3 month old, in the last 2 weeks ive suffered alot with anxiety. I feel better ( much better) but in the last week ive noticed a difference in babys feeding, hes become really fussy in the afternoons, hes also had a change in poo colour. Hes gone from mustard to almost lime green in colour? In the last week, i had i real bad thirst that i couldnt satisfy along with hot and cold sweats( had negative covid test) could this have had such an effect on baby? Also he had his 12 week jabs 10 days ago but seems a delayed reaction? If its due to this? Hes a very happy and contented babys otherwise, thank you for any advice

Hi there are many factors that can effect breastfeeding, if your tired, unwell, stress or anxious a baby can sense it but by the sounds of it your on the right track and doing better. And like you say he's had his jabs, poo does change colour regularly in babies, do you feel although he's fussing he's getting enough milk? (it could just be he's having a grow spurt and getting hungry too as he gets older they need more) Take a look at the breast feeding page on just one Norfolk website or give them a call (might give you some tips.) Not sure on the routine but go back to basics if you can give him skin on skin and find a quiet place when feeding.

The main part is not to worry from what you've said he's happy and content.

Let me know how you get on. 🙂
