My daughter was late in talking but now doesn't shut up 😂. HV said she late in talking as at 2 was able to problem solve to a primary school age. Now she talking full conversations I have noticed a lisp and getting very noticeable. Just tried calling HV number and not taking calls. Anyone had experience with this? I also have a lisp but it not very bad

Hiya, I’m so sorry to not reply sooner -this seems like such a busy week (although every week is busy lol). I’ve not had personal experience of a lisp but my children have had speech issues over time. Contacting the HV sounds like a good idea (did they give a date when they were taking calls?) but in the meantime until they are available you could have a look of the just one norfolk website around communication justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/child... (possibly you have seen this?)

There are also some really good communication charities that have lots of information about any speech issues such as Afasic and Ican. I found them particularly helpful to help me understand speech issues a bit more. Good luck getting through to the HV. X

Oh no I didn’t realise - that’s really difficult. I wonder how long it will be like that? 🤔.

Hi are you calling 0300 300 0123?

Yes

We are a bit busier than normal so you can text this number 07520 631590 and ask for someone to call you. Or you can leave a voicemail. Hope this helps. Sorry it's not clear.

Thank you.

Just tried to call that number and its not recognised

The mobile number is text only. The 0300 number is a bit long winded, but if you leave a voicemail, someone will call you.
