Its taken me a while to write this but I'm a new mum to my 6 month old and live in Poringland. I am very isolated here and I'm struggling with my own personal issues and really need support. Is there anyone around this area that's happy to meet up?
Thank you

Parenting can be very isolating and difficult at times so it's really good you've reached out. Like Babypigeon said, have you considered going to a baby group? If you haven't already, it might be worth looking at your local Children's Centre for local groups you could attend with your baby. They are a great way to meet other parents and Children's Centre staff are a good source of support.
Also, as always you can call our Just One Number on 0300 300 0123 (Mon-Fri 8-6pm or Sat 9-1) if you'd like any more support.
Hi, thank you both for replying. So my situation is a little complicated. I had help from the children centre but because my support worker left, i was just left to my own devices with no more help. I was told by my HV to put this out here as I was struggling quite a bit. Also because I don't drive its difficult getting out and about to the children centre. I tried baby groups in my area but felt very uncomfortable as I was the only single mum there.
I'm just trying to start myself off slow because since having my little one, my confidence has dropped and anxiety has hit the roof. I'm struggling with becoming this new person.
That sounds like a really difficult situation for you. Well done for taking steps to get support. I'm glad you're already in contact with your Health Visitor and I really hope you can link up with some local parents on here, it sounds like that might be helpful.
Hi hun, there's not much places in Poringland, there's a pub which in close to called the railway tavern or there's a community centre which has a cafe in and thank you for your kindness
Have you heard of the organization, "Get me out of these four walls?" It sounds like this could be perfect for you.
They organize local meets for parents wanting to get out but maybe not sure where to go and also have the option of meeting up on a 1:1 basis with one of their ambassadors as a step to getting out and about a bit more, but for people who are not quite ready for group meets yet.
Please follow the link below, it could be a great first step for you
Hi, I’m not sure if you are willing to travel but I attend the baby club at the soul church on mason road in Norwich, it’s so lovely and very welcoming! Such a lovely cafe too! It’s £2.50 a session and you get a hot drink included when the little ones have snack (if they are old enough of course, my daughter is 5 months so doesn’t as yet) it’s lovely to meet other mums too, I have only been twice and love it already, I’m not religious in any way but it’s great! It’s on a wed, thurs and fri at 10am
