Hi guys, I was just put on Prozac and I just am so so tired, I can walk as far, I’m tired 24/7 I’m in bed...it’s horrible, has this happened to anyone else I also went a walk yesterday and I usually walk 4-5 miles, yesterday I couldn’t even walk a mile

Yeah maybe because I’ve been feeling that way, I find it hard to even breathe which isn’t good
Prozac is the slowest to take affect of all the SSRIs. It took about three months before I realized I felt normal again. I took it for twenty years but when I started taking meds for Parkinson's disease it quit working.
Yeah I will! Thanks! It’s just hard when I no they’re helping mentally but apparently they’re not even good for epilepsy either plus I can’t walk long distances at the moment and I’m 20 that’s obviously not normal so I’ll need to get that fixed up
That's really rotten. But antidepressants do take several weeks before they start to work properly, and while you're getting used to them they can make you feel pretty vile.
I've just been reading my sertraline leaflet as sertraline is very similar to prozac and fatigue is listed as a common side effect.
My previous antidepressant was clomipramine and I well remember how awful it made me feel for a few weeks. I barely knew where I was. Then it was as though a black cloud had lifted and I felt so much better!
These side effects do wear off after a few weeks, on the whole. I should give it a few more weeks before you decide whether to stay on it or not. But if you have any serious symptoms, do phone your doctor immediately.
Yeah thanks!😊 I’m going to stick with these for a few weeks until they’ve settled in, I’m on week one so fingers crossed hopefully!
