Hey. I have had anxiety/panic for about 7 years now. I do take effexor/wellbutrin for my anixety/depression and it's been doing it's job for about 3 years now. However, about a week ago I noticed i was extremely anxious for no reason, which sparked a panic attack. (I RARELY get panic attacks) So it scared the absolute crap out of me. Welp since last Wednesday(the day it happened) i have constant inner trembling/and i stay super anxious all day, everyday. I went to the doctor Tuesday and she prescribed me Buspar 5mg/twice a day and I'm struggling so bad. I'm scared I'll never get relief. 😢😨😟

Hang in there with the medication your Doctor prescribed- it may take a while to make any noticeable affects- stay in touch with your Doctor and it should pass. 💪
Try not to worry too much. Panic attacks are relatively common, and horrible though they are, they are not dangerous.
I haven't personal experience of the medications you've been prescribed. But it does help to have CBT alongside medication. So if you're not getting CBT at the moment, it might be worth considering. There are some excellent books that can help, including the ones in the Overcoming series.
Most of us on this forum know what it is to feel like this. It isn't pleasant, but you won't always feel so bad.
Hang in there, we're here for you. And I recommend CBT too. I had a panic attack that lasted 7 weeks before, it's no fun, but it truly does stop. When I was going through that I took life one minute at a time, and only focused on the now!! Do you have supportive people around you!?
