Hello folks.Just out of interest has anybody ever tried coping without ad's and just trying a good quality 5htp from Holland and Barratt? Also wondering if anyone tried cannabis oil.I am just fed up of being changed meds all the time and going through side effects on start up constantly . Had 6 months of this now and want normality back.Lovely sunny day today and am really miserable.

Hello, yes did get it from Holland and Barrett. Took some last night, calmed me down and I slept well. Don’t think it could replace ad’s but certainly helping. You ok?

That is really lousy and it could be that SSRIs are simply not for you. I've not tried cannabis oil, but I know it has helped for various conditions. Make sure you get it from a reputable supplier if you try it, though considering the problems of legality, this may be difficult! Obviously it shouldn't be fake or contain anything else that might be harmful.

There is something called Rhodiola Rosea that some people with mental health problems swear by. It can be had from health shops and Viridian are one brand that does it. The good thing is that it is free from side effects and doesn't interfere with other medications. The downside is that it is quite expensive and I'm not sure whether it has been proved effective.

hi i tried 5htp and it was useless,so was st johns wart and insitol ,ive just been to holland and barret and got some cbd oil its on offer,i still have ocd even when i,m on cloipramine its just not as bad,the chemist managed to get me some 25 mg of cloipramine so i,m hopeful that there gonna keep getting the 50 mg i was on 175 mg.i was taking pregablin and it was brilliant for anxiety but it made me eat loads and made my skin sore.x

Thank you Kazgan. I remember I think trying 5htp some years ago and it did nothing. Think it’s just for people who are mildly Dow in the dumps. Glad you got hold of some clomipramine, it is the daddy of them all especially for ocd. Always taken me between 4-5 months to kick in. Xx

oh by the way my daughter takes venlafaxine for ocd and she finds that very helpful, thats what i am gonna try if i can't get the cloipramine :)

Heard venflaxine good as well. Got to make sure you don’t forget to take it on time as has very short half life. (As if we forget them, I am usually watching the clock and clawing at the box for my next dose).😂
