I'm new here, and just wanted somewhere to share my experiences. I'm currently plagued with a really minor cold. I know it's only minor but I am wracking my brains as to which ritual let me down and let me become infected. It's rly distressing and I don't know how to deal with it

Been there, done that! Although my OCD isn't really to do with infection. Try not to rack your brains. It's not easy, I know, but going over something like that in your head just makes you feel bad. Ruminating is a habit for those of us with OCD, but it doesn't help.
It's like picking at a sore. Left to itself, it is likely to heal on its own. Prodding and picking at it just makes it sorer and prevents it from starting to heal.
