I have this! I know how difficult it is not to pick. I haven't come across much in the way of help for it, but there are Facebook pages and website. I'm not sure that I have anything much to offer, but make sure if you must pick then do it with clean hands.

I have dermatillomania and I've been struggling with it for as long as I can remember. While many people seem to have flare-ups when they're anxious or depressed, it's part of my OCD--it's an obsession and a compulsion for me. It's horribly embarrassing; my legs are torn to shreds and it's all my fault. I'm 27 now, and I've been doing this since childhood. It's like I'm a passenger in my own brain when I do it, watching in horror because it hurts. I feel you.

Do you have any management methods? I try to avoid picking by willing myself to make it 24 hours before the next time I pick. Also, when I have the urge to pick I sometimes just put lotion on my scabs to soften them up and make them less appealing.
