Hi, my name is Danni. I'm 19 years old and suffer from OCD from three years (perfectionism).

Do you have any advice about bad thoughts. What can I do when my mind is full of bad thoughts?

Hi, I'm not expert on what to do and I too suffer from OCD, I do not know what exactly helps and some things only work for short periods of time or just make my OCD less strong; so here they are, I find that being sociable really helps, when I'm out with my friends having a good time, my OCD feels less strong, if that makes sense. I also quite enjoy drawing and when I'm concern treated on this, some worries seem to go away for this period of time. Everybody is different and these may not work for you, but they may help a bit hopefully. Let us know if you find any that work for you! 😊

Thank you very much for replying.

I too have found socializing to be helpful and it manages to drive my OCD away for awhile.

Also, I've found comfort in religion. Imagining what heaven looks like and the idea that all illnesses don't exist has helped a lot. I tend to create in my mind my perfect piece of heaven, like a room just for me, with everything I love and also everything that I can't have/achieve now. It helps thinking that all I have to do is have some patience.

Hope this helps.
