20 minutes yin yoga for releasing hips

Hips can be a notoriously interesting area of the body to explore. I know for me, having had two #kidneytransplant surgeries now (one in 1997, and the second in 2019), that as the single donated kidney is placed in the front body - in the iliac crest, releasing long held tension, including emotional angst and difficulty, has been so important for my own journey.

In this hip opening session, just allow yourself to explore the range of motion, and indeed the emotion that bubbles up from this region, for you. Each body is unique. You are unique. Get to know you. That ancient pearl: Know Thyself.

No props needed unless you like to sit up on cushions or a folded blanket. Create a sanctuary for yourself and if you need to roar and sigh loudly, then do! Hips can hold a lot of buried emotion.

Enjoy these yin moments. Such an effective route to recalibrate our intricate nervous system.
