Hi all - for those who eat beans and pulses, do bear in mind they are high in a plant protein called lectin that can contribute significantly to inflammation. Firstly eat your chick peas, pinto beans, lentils etc only when you have soaked them overnight. So this means buying dried versions and avoiding tins. Then be sure to cook them before using them in your chosen recipe. Apply this to rice too.
