At last some answers....

welcome. at LAST you have some answers mtx gives very good result most people x
Like summer has said you are getting answers, its not all bad i can assure you, just go with the flow and give it a try, if it works for you, you will be wondering why did you worry so much. xxx
Good stuff at least you are heading in the right direction now getting you medication. Bet you are delighted. Lots of people get much better very quickly with methotrexate xx
You've jumped the biggest hurdle by just having a diagnosis. It is all a bit scarey at first and your emotions will be all over the place. But, you'll be looked after now and though reading all about Methotrexate is a bit daunting it does provide relief from all the awful symptoms or RA.
Methotrexate works on keeping inflammation down, but does nothing for the pain. So, my advice is don't suffer pain needlessly like I did for a long time, until my clinical nurse explained that taking paracetamol regularly each day, can really keep you more comfortable.
I'm sorry that you too have this disease, but pleased that you have some answers now.
Take care of yourself, June xxx
Take a deep breath and try not to worry! We can say that 'cos we've been there! MTX suits me with few side effects - one of the lucky ones I guess. But you could be lucky too and really get to enjoy those grandchildren. Good luck x
