mtx injections.

Had to come of the injection HUMIRA. So Dr increased my dosage of mtx.

When I got onto the top dose of 20mg I had to stop the injections as I got a really bad chest. Good old steroids again.

I have got a chest infection/pneuonia and i haven't had my mtx for two weeks So now i'm left wondering how i'm going to be. I might not be able to have my jab this week either as i'm still suffering with my chest. Am waiting for doctor to ring me back later and it might mean a trip down the hospital. I have had 2 courses of sntibiotics and it still hasn't shifted it yet. I have been on steroids for long i wouldn't know what it feels like without them. I do know that without the mtx my fingers are starting to be sore.

happy new year to you too hope its gets better for you. i am suffering my daliy headache at the moment which is because of the corsodyl mouthwash which i am taking for my mouth full of ulcers. if its not one thing its another isnt it? take care xx

I was happily on MTX 20mg weekly (plus 3g Sulfa daily) for over a year. Then it started killing my liver! Now on 2 week injection of Humira + 5mg MTX weekly + sulfa. Works brilliantly for me. Now feel like I did 10 years ago. Hope it keeps on doing it's stuff. NHS Ayrshire & Arran doing a great job.
